AMBER Alerts sound when abducted child’s life in danger

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTVA-CBS 11 News) With the start of summer vacation, and more children on Anchorage streets, Justice Department officials offer this reminder: every 40 seconds a US child goes missing. If authorities fear the child has been abducted and is in danger of seriously being hurt or killed, certain criteria activate an AMBER Alert.
