Check kiting ring broken up

The Anchorage Police Department has arrested the suspected leader of a large check forgery ring.

On February 23, Anchorage Police Department Financial Crimes Detective Tiffani Loughman arrested the suspected leader of a large check forgery/kiting ring. Arrest warrants and felony summons have been issued for a total of 13 suspects. More arrests are anticipated as the investigation continues to reveal additional suspects.
