Neighbors heard shots, found wounded officer

Residents who were the first on the scene after a police officer was shot multiple times during an East Anchorage traffic stop said they heard “two pops” just after 3 a.m. today. They raced outside and found a policewoman alone and bleeding in the driveway of a DeBarr Road apartment building.
